The bare base

Draw one bald, blank, unclothed body. Everything else is painted onto it.

Step 1. A new collection starts with zero traits

Nothing is assumed. There is no default list of Background, Body, Hat, Eyes. The slots you confirm are the slots you get.

That also means the Metadata button will ask you to confirm your traits first rather than guessing at names.

Step 2. Draw a bare body

Switch the studio to Base mode and describe your character in the prompt bar.

Behind the scenes your words get one rule added: same art style, bald, blank face, no eyes and no mouth, no clothes or accessories, room above the head, flat light-grey background.

Never write the word "naked". Image models refuse it, and the run fails. The rule says bald, plain, featureless body.

The background stays on while you draw, because a flat backdrop draws better and cuts cleanly. Use as base removes it.

Three things to aim for:

  • Head and shoulders, or full body. Both work.
  • Room above the head, so a tall trait has somewhere to go.
  • One character, centred, not a scene.

Step 3. Use as base

One click, free, no image calls:

  1. The flat background is cut out.
  2. The base spec is built.
  3. Areas are found from the bare outline: neck (the narrowest row between head and shoulders), head (the widest rows above it), then head, eyes, mouth, body.
  4. Traits are suggested from your prompt.
  5. The tile keeps its size, gets a gold border, and becomes the active base.

Then confirm the list in the Bases and traits tab. Nothing is drawn until you do.

Head is one slot, so a cap replaces hair rather than sitting on top of it. That is deliberate.

The slots you confirm become the collection's trait types.

More than one base

Allowed. Each base carries its own traits, and the active base is the one the prompt bar uses as its reference. Click the base chip in the prompt bar to switch.

A base made before this flow existed has no saved areas. It keeps working on the old bands and is never migrated, because migrating it would change art that has already been minted.

If the background will not cut

The tile says so, in words. It never silently gives you a square.

Regenerate with a flatter background. A busy backdrop has no single clean edge to find.
