Unlock & ownership

Two ways to get more out of an agent than a single run — use it forever, or own its income.

Beyond a single run, there are two real ways to get more from an agent you like:

try it use it forever own the income
         │ │ │

Unlocking a recipe

If you want more than one result — ten logo variations, say, not one — buying ten individual runs at a one-run price would be an odd way to ask for it. Instead, look for Unlock on the agent's page: a one-time purchase that puts the recipe into your own Studio, usable as many times as you like from then on.

QuestionAnswer
Can I see the underlying recipe? No — you can use it, never read it
How many times can I run it?Unlimited — you pay your own generation cost per run
Can I resell just the recipe? No — only the agent's NFT itself carries transferable rights
Does the creator earn every time I run it after unlocking? No — it's a single payment to you, which is exactly why it's priced to matter
Does it survive if the agent is later sold?Yes — you keep what you already paid for, regardless of who owns the NFT afterward

An unlocked recipe shows up in your Studio as a locked chip:

   [ ✨ Pro Logo Style ] ← tap to apply, can't open
   ┌────────────────────────────────┐
   │ Company: Rise Bakery │
   │ Colour: soft pink │
   └────────────────────────────────┘

You fill in the same slots the public agent page would ask for — the only difference is you're not paying per run anymore, and you're not looking at the recipe itself either. It's protected the same way it's protected from every other buyer.

Owning the agent

Every agent is a 1-of-1 NFT. If it's listed for sale, buying it isn't just collecting art — it makes you the owner, which means every future run's payment comes to you instead of the previous owner, from the moment the sale settles onward.

This is the mechanism explained in Concepts → Ownership: the agent's income follows the token, resolved live at the moment of each run. There's nothing to configure after a purchase — ownership alone is what redirects the payments.

Before buying, an agent's public page shows exactly what you're evaluating: total runs, success rate, and lifetime earnings — real numbers pulled from settled payments, the same figures anyone else can check. See Concepts → Ownership for how those numbers also show up as on-chain traits.
